Young musicians from Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland have been making music in europera for more than sixteen years. A few "generations" of them have shared the opportunity to play in the orchestra and meet peers from their neighbouring countries, which has enriched them in many ways. They understand that these nations, who used to have a troubled history, can co-operate without any difficulties. Unfortunately, it is not easy to gain financial support for such cultural activities.
The patron of the europera project, the non-profit organisation Euroregionales Kulturzentrum St. Johannis Zittau, has been working on gaining the support. Thanks to European funds and sponsoring, the organisation has been successful so far. It is going to do so in the future, which requires investing its own finances.
This is the reason why we ask all friends of europera, its former members, people who enjoy music and others who would like to support the project to join
the club of friends of europera.
Members of the club should donate at least 12 EUROS a year. They are informed about the activities of the orchestra once or more times a year (preferably via e-mail). Besides that, it is possible to visit the website of the project www.europera.org, where they can find any up-to-date information.
